From the mundane comes art and life. My too big for the room kitchen table is the heart of my home. Memories were forged here, dreams are dreamed here, love is made here.

Wow your skin. Those legs. I’ve lost the ability to type/say full sentences. I was assigned to read “How to Read Literature like a Professor” by Thomas C. Foster my junior year and there was a whole chapter dedicated to explaining the art of people eating together. “We’re quite particular about those with whom we break bread. We may not, for instance, accept a dinner invitation from someone we don’t care for. The act of taking food into our bodies is so personal that we really only want to do it with people we’re very comfortable with. As with any convention, this one can be violated….Generally, eating with another is a way of saying, “I’m with you, I like you, we form a community
together.” It was eye opening (pun pin unintended lol) because it’s soo true. That’s what your post reminds me of. We as humans do spend a good amount of time eating and so to read that you have a big kitchen table is warming. It’s soo poetic.

Hi Dinah you are so right here. The act of eating together is an intimate act. We are vulnerable when eating and we share the experience together whilst experiencing it separately. A kitchen table is a must for me. Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it ?

I think that a table should definitely be at the centre of a home and you have made this a very beautiful centrepiece with your gorgeous legs 🙂

It is such a relaxing image… and the muted colors add to that feeling…
