Capturing desire

I take these pictures to see myself as desirable, to see myself the way others see me, to create desire in myself, for myself.

In that respect it is very connected to my creativity. Desire is the engine to my will, the need to connect is the fuel.

How do you create desire? Let me know πŸ’‹

I take photos (of myself) as an exercise in lessening my dysphoria. Of trying to see myself differently but also to acknowledge realities.

I’m not a visual person but my partners are, so I assume when they see photos there is a triggering of desire(?), but it’s not my goal necessarily (and seeing ‘sexy’ photos of them does nothing for me, really — I’m too… I dunno… Brain-oriented, I guess).

    How do I create desire?

    [ . . . ]

My musings above started as a think-aloud exercise because I’m trying to answer your question, though it’s likely meant to be rhetorical, but I don’t think I can. Desire is more like a seed, for me. Sewn in fertile ground, watered and given proper care, it will grow. But sometimes that growth dies off; the flower withers, the green goes dormant. I’m in a menopausal winter right now. But the seed of desire is still there, I think. Somewhere below the surface, waiting for the sun to kiss it awake.

    I don’t know if it’s something I can create.

Great question Eye.- creating desire of any form is a bit of challenge in the present world climate. I think we gotta try though. It needs to be nurtured in me. I will have to ponder on this πŸ˜‰
